Paying Your Monthly Premium

Once you’ve submitted your health plan application through Via Benefits Insurance Services, contact your insurance carrier directly with any questions about your premium or to update your payment method. The carrier’s contact information is typically listed on the back of your insurance ID card.

After your application is submitted, Via Benefits can no longer make changes to your premium payments or provide premium-related assistance.

Automatic Premium Payment Methods

Direct debit, Automatic Clearing House (ACH), and electronic funds transfer (EFT) are payment methods that automatically withdraw insurance premium payments from a checking or savings account.

Updating Your Premium Payment Information

Your insurance carrier processes your premium payments. If you need to change any of your payment information after submitting your application, contact your insurance carrier.

  1. Before calling the carrier, gather your current payment information, including account number, routing number, or credit card information.

  2. Call the carrier at the phone number on your insurance ID card.

  3. Tell the carrier's representative that you'd like to change the payment method used for your premium payments.

Paperless Billing

Many carriers offer paperless billing, which replaces mailed paper bills with electronic statements delivered by email. In addition to reducing paper waste and clutter, paperless billing lets you access your bill anywhere with an Internet connection.

Your Premium Bill

If you haven’t received your premium bill, and it’s been more than 21 days since you submitted your application, contact your insurance carrier for assistance if you’ve already received other communications from them. Otherwise, contact Via Benefits, and a representative can help you contact your carrier.
