Creating an Account on the Mobile App
This article applies to you if you have a Via Benefits reimbursement account (sometimes known as a Health Reimbursement Arrangement).*
Creating an account on the mobile app allows you to easily submit reimbursement requests and review account activity. You can also set up direct deposit.
To create your account, complete the following steps on your mobile device:
1. Download the Via Benefits Accounts mobile app from the App Store or Google Play if you haven't already.
2. Open the app on your mobile device.
3. Select Create Account.
4. Enter your ZIP/Postal Code and and your Date of Birth.
5. Enter and confirm your Social Security Number (SSN), select Continue.
Note: If we find an account, you're directed to the Sign in page.
Note: Please call us for assistance if you get an error message saying your Social Security Number isn't on file.
6. Select Request Code. The code will be sent to you by email.
7. Once you receive the code, enter it in the Enter Code field. Select Next.
8. Create and confirm your password, following the password requirements on screen. Select Next.
Note: If you have created an account on viabenefitsaccounts.com, your email address and password for the mobile app must match it.
9. Add a Phone Number. This enhances security when verifying your account. Select Text Me or Call Me and a code will be sent to you via your chosen method.
10. After you receive the code, enter the code in the Enter Code field and select Next.
11. Select a Security Question and provide Your Answer. Choose how you want to receive Communications from Via Benefits. Then select Continue.
12. Agree to the Online Services Agreement and select Continue.
13. You will get an Account Secured message. Select Continue.
14. Select Yes or No to choose whether you want to use Face ID. After making your selection, you'll be taken to the Dashboard.
