Reimbursement QuickStart Guide

This article applies to you if you have a Via Benefits reimbursement account, sometimes known as a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA).*

There are three ways to have your insurance premiums reimbursed automatically. This article explains each option and how to get started.

The available automatic options are:

  • Automatic Premium Reimbursement

  • Express Reimbursement

  • Recurring Premium Reimbursement

How to Set Up Automatic Premium Reimbursements

Follow these three simple steps:

1. Sign in to your account.

  • Go to viabenefitsaccounts.com or use the Via Benefits Accounts Mobile App to manage your account on your phone or tablet.

    • Download the Via Benefits Accounts mobile app from the App Store or Google Play if you haven't already.

  • If you enrolled in a Medicare or Individual and Family plan through Via Benefits, use the same username and password.  

2. Set up direct deposit.

3. Choose the automatic reimbursement option that works for your plan.

Automatic Premium Reimbursement

  • For Medicare plans only

  • Automatically renews if you stay in the same plan

  • No supporting documents are required

  • Easiest option for Medicare premiums

Express Reimbursement

  • For Medicare plans and Individual and Family plans

  • In most cases, no supporting documents are required upfront

Recurring Premium Reimbursement

  • Used when other options aren’t available, and your plan allows it

  • Supporting documents are required
